Calhoun Families enjoyed an evening of fun learning centers tonight with Creative Discovery Museum's Art of Science program. Thank you to 2 Dudes BBQ, Mac Daddy Kettle Corn, and Pam's Bundt Cakes for keeping our bellies full! Be watching for details about the next family night in January!
It's Family Night at Calhoun School! We look forward to seeing everyone beginning at 5:20 in the cafeteria for a Family Engagement Meeting. Stations with Creative Discovery Museum will begin at 5:30, but you can begin any time between then and closing at 7:30. Our art classes showed their collaborative work during our annual Veterans Day Parade today! What a beautiful way to honor our heroes!
Mrs. Weatherspoon's 5th grade class studied patterns of motion last week. They made these super cool pendulum paintings! Great job, Minks!
Mrs. Cate's 2nd grade class enjoyed making dinosaur impressions during their study of fossils.
Ms. Harbison's 2nd grade had so much fun today being paleontologists and excavating their own fossils just like they have been learning about during their daily ELA lesson! Each student uncovered their own fossil then had to describe and draw it so others could read about them.
Calhoun celebrated awesome attendance with Hat Day and PJ Day!
