School Safety Procedures
As a district, the safety of our students and staff is our top priority. We believe it is essential to keep our families informed and educated about the protocols we use to maintain a secure school environment.
We have adopted the Standard Response Protocol (SRP), which includes five specific actions: Hold, Secure, Lockdown, Evacuate, and Shelter. Each action is designed to address different situations in a clear and consistent manner.
Throughout the school year, you may receive notifications that your child’s school has enacted one of these safety protocols. Please know that these actions are part of our comprehensive safety plan and are implemented to ensure the well-being of everyone on campus.
We encourage you to review the attached file that outlines each of the five SRP actions. Understanding these procedures will help you feel more confident and informed should any safety alerts be communicated.
Thank you for partnering with us in keeping our schools safe.
