Today, Central High School was presented as the winner of the 2024-25 Food City School Bucks Challenge! This program allows Food City shoppers to designate their points to a school of their choice, and the school earning the most points receives School Bucks funding. We are thankful for community partners like Food City who provide valuable support to our schools and give back to the community!

Dear Parents and Guardians,
This morning, McMinn County Schools was notified of a potentially armed suspect on the run in connection with an overnight criminal investigation. Out of an abundance of caution, we have placed our schools under a Secure status.
What does "Secure" mean?
A Secure Action is taken when there is a potential threat or hazard outside the school building. All students and staff are brought inside, and all exterior doors are locked to secure the building. Please note: Classes are continuing as normal inside. Instruction is not interrupted, and students remain safe and supervised.
If needed, access to and from the building will be limited and monitored by our School Resource Officer (SRO) to ensure everyone's safety.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely and keep you informed of any updates.
Thank you for your continued support and trust.
Sincerely,
McMinn County School District
