A big thank you to Springbrook Golf and Country Club and TWU Men's Golf team for teaching our MPP students at Niota Elementary the basic rules of golf and giving them a putting lesson. McMinn P.R.E.P. students at Mountain View have been studying a Botany/Plant Unit. This week they had a lesson in taste testing the different parts of a plant. Students ate a seed, a leaf, a fruit, a stem, a root, and an okra pod.
McMinn P.R.E.P. students in extended learning afterschool care at Niota Elementary participated in self-defense class held by Master Moises Contreras. Students enjoyed learning skills in both Taekwondo and self defense.
TRIBE SUMMER CAMP June 2nd to 24th
❗️Does your rising 9th-grade student play a sport? If so, he or she can still attend summer camp. They will be present for the times they can and go to practice at other times. We want them to fully immerse themselves in the high school atmosphere, which means joining sports, clubs, and organizations.
❗️Is your rising 9th-grade student part of the band? He or she can still be part of summer camp.
❗️Are you going on vacation during one or more summer camp days? Your 9th-grade student can still be part of summer camp. Enjoy the vacation. That's what summer is for! Your student can come on the days he or she is able.
⌛Spots are filling! Forms were sent home with 8th-grade students at all schools. If your student lost the form, forms can be filled out at McMinn County High School.
