MPP students at Niota Elementary created a Kindness Cart for their teachers. 4th and 5th grade students wrote letters to local businesses and our younger students made thank you cards for all teachers and staff. McMinn PREP at Niota was honored to have them visit our after-school group. Mr. Weir shared about his time in the service and his work today, while Ms. Belcher taught students about the American flag and the proper ways to handle and retire/dispose of it.
Each child received a flag, and our students created special cards and banners to give in honor of Veterans Day.
