McMinn County Schools will start the new school year on Friday, Aug. 2, with an early dismissal. Students will dismiss at 10:30 a.m., with buses running regular routes. Monday, Aug. 5, will be the first full day of school. We look forward to seeing everyone back from summer break.

If you or someone you know missed our first registration for PK & K, a 2nd chance registration will be held today from 4:00-8:00 PM at MCS Central Office 3 South Hill Street Athens, TN (near Food City). Please bring proof of birth, 2 proofs of residence, and a TN shot record. PK applicants will also need proof of income. The teachers will reach out at a later time to verify enrollment and schedule screening as needed. Spread the word! The future of McMinn begins here.
An additional PK&K registration opportunity is scheduled for Thursday, July 11, from 4:00-8:00 PM at MCS Central Office for anyone who missed the first registration. You will be able to pick up and submit registration packets. Please bring proof of birth, 2 proofs of residence, and a TN shot record. PK will also need proof of income. Teachers will contact families to follow-up with enrollment information and schedule screenings. Location: 3 South Hill Street Athens, TN, near Food City.
